Judgement
by lilmusics
For those of you that feel you can judge a situation by reading one side of a story and have the nerve to communicate unfounded accusations:
• Have you ever been fired from a job?
• Have you ever expected to be paid for substandard performance?
• Have you ever took advantage of government financial assistance when you were fully capable of supporting yourself?
• Have you ever used your disability as an excuse not to have abilities?
• Do you feel you are "owed" because of your disability and as an ex-employee stated "I am disabled - I should be treated special!!!!"?
Thanks to a few of you... we did lose clients at the start of our business resulting from erratic actions taken by some of you and your counselors, who chose not to divulge if your disability could negatively impact your performance or jeopardize client relationships. Also, thank you to a few of your counselors... some going as far as to take your assessments knowing you would never meet minimum requirements.
Soon... The Real Truth will be known.... We are here to help those that want to help themselves and others!
Thankfully we have cleansed the company of those who have nothing better to do than to hurt others by their self-centered actions.
Why would we bother:
• Providing almost 24/7 online mentoring to help support you emotionally and professionally?
• Providing a Virtual Business Park environment where those missing limbs or are paralyzed can walk, run, ski, drive a car... anything you cannot do in real life?
• Providing a non-denominational "chapel" where our on staff retired chaplain who is also a certified MS counselors holds support group meetings to help everyone get past the "luggage" they bring into CORA that prevents them from succeeding?
• Providing daily "Positive Thoughts" meetings via webinars and in Second Life to let those who are going through physical, emotional or financial crisis - that they are in our thoughts and for those who pray - prayers?
• Having a Virtual Birthday party for one of our terminal employees where she could dance, sing, and be with her coworkers in a virtual environment?
• Saving lives by being online for those experiencing suicidal thoughts or suffering heart attacks, seizures, strokes - and getting help to them within minutes or realizing they are in crisis? You have NEVER seen people react and help so quickly as our Team to help one in need!
• Having our Founder and CEO accept the award for an individual for the New Freedom Initiative Award given to one company, one non-profit and one individual annually?
• Having IBM collaborate efforts with us to help visually impaired and blind work in a virtual world?
• Providing a pilot program for the deaf working for Customer Service positions with a videophone and an interpreter?
• Exploring and making a new employment solution - HAPPEN?
I will continue sharing THE REAL CORA as time permits. It never ceases to amaze me how easily people can take the focus off the good in life and only focus on what appears to be a negative.
Those people know nothing about my company or I, so please do not judge another person unless you can walk in their shoes! That would include all aspects of running a business and supporting over 500 employees of which over 60% would never be hired by our clients based on many factors which will be shared.
My biggest mistake in the creation of this business concept was continuing to absorb the expense to keep over 300 people continue with "on the job" training for years, trying to help them develop marketable skills to be placed on a revenue producing project or client hire.
How dare we expect them to perform to a certain standard? How dare we furlough them when they refused to cooperate and be productive! Revenge... all of that pent up energy and emotions can now be directed to A Cause!
Venting is positive.... as long as it's done in a constructive, healthy manner, two sides of a situation are known, and most importantly no one gets hurt. We at CORA WILL put a stop to the sick actions of a few to ensure opportunities for others will only continue to grow.
Let's Roll CORA!
CORA CAN and CORA WILL!
Very Sincerely,
Ilene Morris-Sambur

Let's define Despicable, Shall We...
by lilmusics
For those of you new to the CORA blogosphere, here is a quick history lesson.
* CORA trains and employs people with Special Needs – physical, mental, emotional and developmental issues
* CORA operates in the same economy that has caused 10% of the American population to be unemployed
* CORA was victim to the unstable financial atmosphere that plagues us all, and without giving away any secrets, some clients and partnerships dissolved because they could or would not pay CORA what was owed.
*CORA in turn, is trying to pay its debt as swiftly as it can despite the fact that some ex-employees have posted negative comments all over the internet alleging everything from non-payment of wages, to cruelty to workers, to strangling baby ducks or drowning them in barrels of liquefied pigfat.
One such enlightened soul chose to educate CORA on the definition of despicable saying that we were indeed despicable and taking advantage of people with a disability. Here is the other side to that response:
Before we judge someone as despicable let's analyze a few things shall we...
I pose this question, what personifies despicable, trying to help others help themselves or willfully causing others harm and by others, we are speaking of individuals with disabilities.
CORA has, from its inception, tried to train and hire individuals who could not otherwise find employment due to their individual Special Needs. CORA, though a victim of the economy and payment defaults by clients and/or state institutions, continues to operate and although slowly, is trying to pay all ex and current employees any back wages owed. CORA, from its beginning, has been dedicated to helping those with a disability and has continued to strive to do so despite the continued, dogmatic attacks by previous employees via open comments on the internet thinly disguised as an altruistic act of so-called "letting people know about CORA."
I can only explain these actions as depravity and equate it with societal cannibalism. These individuals are so self-centric in their attempt to justify their months of sub-standard work, they would rather “hurt” CORA despite the fact that hundreds of other of their fellow workers with a disability rely on the jobs CORA provides. They seek to hurt CORA and by default have pushed many of the most vulnerable amongst American workers, those with a disability to the brink of unemployment. I guess the adage is true misery loves company. Many of the workers still happily working and earning wages at CORA could simply not work in any other venue than the one that CORA painstakingly protects. These are the people hurt by their attacks. They are literally preying on the disabled making sure “if I can’t hold a job because I’m not responsible enough not to cheat my company by pretending to work, then no one should have a job.”
Let's look at the issue in the light for a second rather than from the perspective of a flickering computer screen tucked away in the dark recesses of some "so called" home office.
Posting these alleged situations has indeed had an effect. It has made CORA examine its practices. We found that many of these workers were merely pretending to work and collecting a paycheck. Thank You, CORA is stronger because of you. It has made CORA examine its blind trust that if you give someone who can’t get a job elsewhere work, they will actually work and fulfill their obligations. We learned our lesson, again thanks.
We are not talking about thousands of disgruntled ex-employees, and one has to wonder if they are considered ex-employees for a reason, but only a few. I challenge you to look up any major corporation and not find a disgruntled ex-employee posting vile on the internet, safely hidden behind the veil of anonymity the internet offers.
The simple truth is they have not hurt CORA, but have indeed hurt those beloved employees CORA dogmatically defends and tries to support through its business. By attempting to slow the process of recovery as CORA rights itself from the storm of economic turmoil, they, the miscreants, are attempting to hurt the one organization that they themselves turned to for help and support. In short, the constant barrage of insults, veiled and not so veiled threats, sabotage, subterfuge, and out and out CRIMINAL behavior has in fact made CORA stronger but sadly, it has come with a dear cost. Those spewing vile have hurt those CORA most cherishes, our family of Special Needs workers with disabilities. Nice job, you should all be proud.
They are cannibalizing those most vulnerable and unable to defend themselves. Have threats ever resulted in a positive result during a conflict? These, dare I say, despicable individuals are attempting to shut down, which is for some, the only viable alternative and hope for a productive successful career. Are they not the despicable ones? Are they not taking advantage of those with disabilities who choose to work and do a good job? Are they not the ones cowardly hiding behind the imagined entitlement, "I'm Disabled...Pity Me."
I do pity you. I am disabled. Is it fair, no? Do I deserve special treatment, again no? Perhaps if these had spent the energy and time doing their job and not trying to ride the gravy train that had been CORA, they too would still be amongst the hundreds still happily employed and working to help CORA change the paradigm of how business will be done in the future in America.
Shame on you all. You are indeed the despicable ones, and in all fairness shame on CORA too for believing you were worthy to be called human.

ut down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.
Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:
* Accept that some days you're the pigeon,
And some days you're the statue.
* Always keep your words soft and sweet,
Just in case you have to eat them.
* Always wear stuff that will make you look good
If you die in the middle of it.
* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be
"Recalled" by their maker.
* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,
It was probably worth it.
* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others.
* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time,
Because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
* Nobody cares if you can't dance well.
Just get up and dance.
* When everything's coming your way,
You're in the wrong lane.
* Birthdays are good for you.
The more you have, the longer you live.
* You may be only one person in the world,
But you may also be the world to one person.
* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once...
* We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.
*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour
Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today

As an American with a Disability, employed by CORA, I am providing my own personal Testimonial to educate others of a proven solution for many of America’s challenges of today. We the People, demand the right to:
“STAND UP AND BE HEARD!”
CORA CEO, Ilene Morris-Sambur, recipient of the
Department of Labor/ODEP
“2006 New Freedom Initiative Award”
Our Administration has promised to provide a “… comprehensive agenda to empower individuals with disabilities, to equalize opportunities for all Americans”. President Obama intends to reclaim America's global leadership by becoming a signatory and implementing the same agenda as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
On September 23, 2009, CORA’s Solution was introduced to President Obama’s Special Assistant for Disabilities to discuss CORA’s success with telework and our solution to bring offshore outsourcing back home for the many lives it can help in today’s economic challenges.
CORA has created an empowering solution:
CORA – “Creating Opportunities by Recognizing Abilities”, has a proven employment solution that will...
-
Reduce Unemployment and Underemployment
-
Reduce Corporate America’s Operating Costs by 25% - 50%
-
Reduce Financial Dependency on Government Programs
-
Increase Taxpayer Revenue
-
Help Our Nation “Go Green”
-
End Discrimination and Promote Equal Opportunity
This solution also positively impacts the issues outlined by our new administration; Disabilities, Economy, Education, Environment, Ethics, Family, Fiscal, Health Care, Poverty, Rural, Seniors & Social Security, Service, Taxes, Technology, Urban Policy, Veterans, and Women.
We can’t do this alone…

By partnering, we can increase your company’s sales, provide job opportunities for your unemployed neighbors and help boost your local economy.
CORA works with businesses to help them grow…even in difficult economic times. We have just completed a very successful Customer Satisfaction pilot for Walgreens and are now focusing our efforts on helping small businesses realizing they are the economic backbone of the US Economy.
In today’s highly competitive business environment, companies are looking for methods to reduce costs and just as importantly, retain quality. Outsourcing many positions is one such method. The use of off-shore locations was, in the past, a prime source of inexpensive labor to fulfill many jobs at significantly lower costs. Now with the explosion of advances in telecommunications and our innovative proprietary technology methodology, this is no longer the case.
CORA, LLC a for profit Company, utilizes cutting-edge technology and the largest untapped segment of the United States workforce, disabled veterans, individuals with disabilities, 24/7 caregivers, the unemployed, and other Special Needs populations that have difficulty working outside of their home. We have created a means for companies to bring overseas jobs back home to Special Needs Americans, at the same or lower costs as offshore outsourcing.
· CORA specializes in the training and application of Remote Workers to enhance
the profit potential of companies.
· CORA has designed and perfected a means to use “on-shore” U.S. based
Remote Workers in an extremely cost effective manner.
CORA is cost competitive
Utilizing new technology (VOIP, new software applications, etc.), along with a highly trained and skilled workforce of Special Needs Americans, CORA has developed a business model, training program, and methodology which enables it to maintain low costs while delivering efficient, effective high quality services. All project remote workers provide these services from their home, so there are none of the costs associated with standard “Brick and Mortar” locations. Yet, due to our proprietary “real-time” monitoring technology, our remote workers are carefully monitored which allows for high production levels and quick intervention in even the smallest areas of quality control and risk mitigation. By utilizing various methods of cost reductions, we are able to pass our savings on to you!
CORA has a reputation for customer satisfaction
Given CORA’s expertise in effective customer management, our clients have seen a steadily growing retention of their customer base. Senior management’s extensive consulting and business process reengineering experience bring new solutions to your entire front and back office challenges. Our low turnover enables the customer to experience familiarity and develop a sense of personalized care. Our training curriculum retrains remote workers equipping them and by proxy you, with a modern technology based skillset adding to their extensive work histories, and ability to cope with customer frustration, while offering cost saving solutions to most customer problems presented. Their listening skills and empathy with the customer make solving problems easier.
CORA trained workers - You will indirectly employ disabled veterans and other Special Needs Americans
Corporate Social Responsibility, Economic/Social Justice and “Green” are the new “Buzz” words of the day. However, in today’s market, if it does not help the bottom line, most businesses will not bother. By partnering with CORA, your company realizes these benefits while improving your bottom line from day one.
In Summary
Once again, thank you for taking the time to both read this information and for carefully considering CORA’s Solution as your future. This is truly a “win / win” opportunity to increase your company’s bottom line profits while assisting in America’s Economic Recovery.
